our approach to S&C

we work with you to better understand your goals

We evaluate your current level of fitness and strength to determine your needs to progress toward your specified goals. We achieve this through both interviewing you and implementing strength and fitness testing to establish a baseline to work from.

We create a holistic wellness plan

Taking what we have gained from the initial consultation with you, we focus on areas that may be impacting your ability to consistently establish a routine, or progress with the routine you have in place. We work with you to establish an individualized plan to tackle any challenges that may be impeding success with achieving your goals.

We help you sustain high performance: mentally and physically

Utilizing a holistic approach allows us to see you as a whole, rather than one aspect of who you are. This gives us the chance to optimize your ability to achieve sustainable high performance from every aspect of who you are as a person, incorporating both the mental and physical sides.

Frequently Asked Questions

At the core, strength and conditioning is the utilization of physiological and biomechanical principles to improve overall movement and fitness for both sport and recreation. Strength and Conditioning coaches will implement both static and dynamic exercises to specifically improve different energy systems to positively impact speed, agility, strength, power, endurance, stability and mobility to name a few.

Although there is some cross-over with personal training and strength and conditioning, and some personal trainers might be certified as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, the biggest difference between the two is the level of education that is required to gain a certification. To become a Certified Performance Sport Scientist, you need a graduate degree and experience in your field of expertise. This allows for a deeper understanding of the energy systems of the body and how exercise impacts them. Working with someone who specializes in the development of energy systems to improve performance is key to achieving your goals.
